Description:
The dirk is made of steel, with two blades, with one short fuller. 15-cm of etching, gilding and blueing. The fuller bears M.T. Kalashnikov's signature on the blued background. The heel bears the USSR arms.
The heel's underside contains the category number « Z-02». The side edges bear inscription «Averkin О.V., Zlatoust city 2005» (in Russian).
The hilt consists of the grip with two caps and pommel and of cross guard with cross bar.
The grip is metal, tubby, twisted, interweaved with white smooth and gilded twisted wire. The caps are octahedral. The round conic pommel is decorated with the plated Russian Federation (RF) arms. The cross guard is straight, with dilative ends, decorated with AK-74 silhouettes. The cross bar is shaped in pentagonal escutcheon, bears the «AK-74» inscription framed in the oak leaves.
The sheath is metal, with two middle bands and tip. The middle bands are decorated with oak leaves. Between the middle bands there is plated relief portrait featuring «М.Т.Kalashnikov» inscription (in Russian). Under the lower middle band there is plated five-point star.
The sheath and the hilt are decorated with ear, stylized plant ornament and oak leaves.
