Description:
The dirk is made of steel, with two blades, with one short fuller. 18-cms of etching, gilding and blueing. The fuller bears M.T. Kalashnikov's signature on the blued background. The heel bears the USSR arms.
The heel's underside contains the category number «P-02». The side edges bear inscriptions Tychkin V.A., Zlatoust city 2005 (in Russian).
The hilt consists of the grip with two caps and pommel and of cross guard with cross bar.
The grip is metal, tubby. The caps are octahedral. The pommel in the form of inverted barrel with concave bottoms is decorated with the plated Russian Federation (RF) arms and is fixed to the grip with a ball-shaped head. The cross guard is straight, with dilative ends, is decorated with the RPK (light machine-gun) silhouettes. The cross bar is shaped in pentagonal escutcheon, bears the « RPK » inscription.
The sheath is metal, decorated with plated relief portrait featuring «М.Т.Kalashnikov» inscription (in Russian), with plated five-point star, bay leaves and stylized plant ornament.
All the armature pieces are decorated with bay leaves and stylized plant ornament.
