Description:
The dirk is made of steel, with two blades, with one short fuller. 16-cm of etching, gilding and blueing. The fuller bears M.T. Kalashnikov's signature on the blued background. The heel bears the USSR arms.
The heel's underside contains the category number «Z-02». The side edges bear inscriptions «Averkin О.V.», «Zlatoust 2004» (in Russian).
The hilt consists of the grip with two caps and pommel and of cross guard with cross bar.
The grip is wooden, tubby, twisted, interweaved with white smooth and twisted gilded wire. The caps are octahedral. The round conic pommel is decorated with the plated Russian Federation (RF) arms. The cross guard is straight, with dilative ends, decorated with the AK-47 silhouettes. The cross bar is shaped in pentagonal escutcheon, bears the «AK-47» inscription in bay leaves.
The sheath is metal, with two middle bands and tip. The middle bands are decorated with bay leaves. There is plated relief portrait featuring «М.Т.Каlashnikov» inscription between the middle bands. Under the lower middle band there is plated five-point star.
The sheath and hilt details are decorated with bay leaves and stylized plant ornament.
