and certificate signed by artist.
Double-edged steel blade, on 110mms. Is embellished with gilded, blued and etched stylized vegetable ornament and naval rope. A picture of ship's bell, navigator's tools and scuttle on the blued background are inserted into the scene. On the heel's side edges there are inscriptions (in Russian): "Author G.M. Bersenev. Zlatoust". On the back side of the blade there is the date "1999" and trade mark in the vignette of stylized vegetable design.
Steel barrel-like grip is with cross piece, upper and lower ferrules and pommel. The cross piece is straight, figured, decorated with pictures of stylized oak garlands and two-headed eagle (Emblem of Russia) on the cross bar. On the grip's front side is pictured a monument to the defenders of Sebastopol in the medallion framed with laurel garlands and guns. On the back side there is a drifting sailer.
The pommel has a form of a bead. On its' front side one can view the Emblem of Russia and the Russian military ensign framed with oak garlands. On the pommel's back side there is a picture of stylized compass card with a needle.
Metal sheath with waist-belt rings is decorated with stylized picture of naval rope and oak and laurel garlands. Pictures of dolphins entwining trident, vessel's steering wheel and anchor framed with rope and warship are introduced into the scene. On the upper side of the sheath there is a laid on plate with a portrait of Admiral Makarov. Underneath, on the ribbon there is inscription in Russian: "Admiral Makarov".
