Description
One-edge steel blade has on it's end yelmen of 25cms, on its 510mms length is decorated with etching, gilding, bluing in the form of stylized vegetable ornament with 3 medallions. In the side medallions on the blued background are pictured ancient boarding arms, anchor, ship's steering wheel and banners. In the central medallion on the blued background there is a picture of 4 sailing vessels in the front of a town quay.
On the blade's back side in the vignette of stylized vegetable ornament and sea rope there is picture of a trade mark and inscription in Russian: "Zlatoust. Author V. Tychkin. 1999."
Hilt consists of grip and guard. The wooden grip is covered with leather and entwined by golden wire on its inclined diametrical grooves. The grip has a figured back transforming into a small pommel, the back is decorated with stylized vegetable ornament.
The guard in the form of a basket and consists of knuckle bow, one end of which is connected with the small pommel and the other goes through a cross bar and ends with a figured bulge unbent downwards. Two loop guards begin on the cross bar and are fixed to the knuckle bow. The hilt has two figured small shields decorated with etching in the form of naval anchor entwined by a sea rope.
Wooden sheath covered with leather has mouth, middle band and tip.
The hilt's armature edges are figured. The mouth and the middle band have waist-belt rings, the tip has figured comb. The hilt's armature is decorated with stylized vegetable ornament and with picture of a drifting sailer on the mouth, with a sea anchor and cannons on the middle band, and with ancient boarding arms on the tip.
The whole metal set has figured facets and is decorated with a drawing in the form of flowers and stylized vegetable ornament.
